AI Assistant integration

Wave for Claude

Wave records and transcribes your meetings, calls, and conversations. Connect it to Claude from the connector directory and your meeting memory becomes part of the conversation — ask about any meeting you've ever recorded, in Claude on the web, desktop, mobile, or Claude Code.

Add Wave to Claude
Search every conversation you've recordedAsk Claude in natural language — "what did we decide about pricing last quarter?" — and it searches your Wave sessions semantically, then answers from the actual transcripts.
Read exact, speaker-labeled transcriptsClaude can pull the precise transcript of any session, with speaker labels, alongside the AI summary and action items Wave already generated.
Organize folders and keep action items in syncBeyond reading, Claude can file sessions into folders and update action items — so "mark the follow-ups from Tuesday's call done" actually does it.

How to search meeting transcripts in Claude

Try this with a meeting you have recorded in Wave. Claude can use the saved transcript to answer a specific question; review the source before relying on the answer.

  1. 1. Record and connect

Record a meeting in Wave with the participants’ agreement, then let the transcript finish processing. Connect Wave from Claude’s directory and sign in to the Wave account that contains the recording.

  2. 2. Ask about a decision

Name the meeting or give a date range so the assistant can find the right conversation. Replace the example date with one from your own library.

Search my Wave meetings from last week. What did we decide about the website launch? Separate decisions, action items with owners, and questions that are still open. Cite the source meeting for each.
  3. 3. Check the source and follow up

Open the referenced Wave session and compare important details with the transcript or recording. If the answer is missing a deadline, ask the assistant to find it rather than infer one.

Which deadlines were explicitly stated? Quote the relevant transcript passages and say when no deadline was given.

Things to know

Frequently asked

What is Wave AI Note Taker in the Claude connector directory?+

It's Wave's official Claude connector, built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Connect it once and Claude can search your Wave sessions, read speaker-labeled transcripts and summaries, organize folders, and update action items — using your data, with your permission.

Does this work in Claude Code too?+

Yes. The same Wave MCP server (mcp.wave.co) powers Claude on the web, desktop, and mobile as well as Claude Code — connect once and your meeting memory is available in all of them.

Does Claude record my meetings?+

No. Wave does the recording and transcription in its own apps. Claude connects to what you've already captured — it can search, read, and organize, but recording never happens through Claude.

Is my meeting data used to train AI models?+

Wave never uses your recordings or transcripts to train AI models. Your data belongs to you, and the connector's access is scoped to your account — you can review and revoke it whenever you want.

Can I connect without using the directory?+

Yes. Any MCP client can connect by pasting https://mcp.wave.co — the directory listing is just the one-click path. The manual path is documented in the Wave MCP guide at api.wave.co/mcp.
